How Singapore can be threatened by terrorism?
Singapore can be threatened by terrorism in many different areas. It is totally unpredictable when terrorism may strike, or its intended audience. Usually, terrorist strike where it can cause chaos, instability as well as panic to the country. Singapore can be threatened in, well basically the 5 aspects (which is included in total defense). Namely psychological, social, economical, military and civil. What defense we are trying to build is actually the areas where terrism may sink their teeth into.
What are the measures taken by the Singapore government to counter terrorism in regional and global region?
Singapore has tightened security in many different areas(eg. police patrol in certain districts) , as the threat of terrorism is very real. It has also always been enforcing total defense, which I think is the most important measure. We must also not forget the airport 'bans liquids'.
Regional wise, singapore has always actively been involved in ASEAN. Hence, it has been always working closely with other countries in the areas of security.
Why Singapore is consider a secure country in Asia?
Singapore has tightened its security many folds that make terrorism near impossible. Furthermore, advances in technology each day also helps combat terrorism. The public is also plays a part (eg. looking out for suspicious looking objects). This makes the chances of terrorism next to none.
