How can Singapore be threatened by Terrorism?Well, we all know
SG is a very small country. Being small country, Singapore is vulnerable to terrorist attacks. Everyone will live in fear. Hostility among Singaporeans will increase hence leading to chaos. Obviously no one will visit a country under terrorist attack. This means there will be a sharp fall in arrivals of tourists to Singapore. Tourism is one of Singapore's main income earnings, so Singapore's economy will be adversely affected. With chaotic situation and economic downfall, Singapore could fall under the wrong hands or will no longer be able to develop.
Measures taken by the Singapore government to counter terrorism in regional and global region:-Government takes
alot of effort to make sure the people in country are well-informed and well-aware of terrorism . Moreover, with stringent laws of Singapore,
noone can enter Singapore with illegal/forbidden items.
-Singapore is also actively involved in
ASEAN activities to counter terrorism.
-The Army's Special Forces providing secretarial support to the UN Peacekeepers.
Why is Singapore considered a safe country in Asia?Singapore has not experienced terrorism since 1991. Compared to other countries, Singapore is a highly-secured country with high security forces. Singaporeans are united, loyal and willing to defend their nation.

I think one good example of showing preparedness is the TV SHOW
"Without Warning". If you all remember, 'Without Warning' showed what will happen if Terrorism attacks were to happen in Singapore and all showed how we will/we should react in these situations. I think that show is a good way to inform the public and educate them on what they should do in unforseen situations. Its better to be safe than sorry. Let's all play out part and stay united as one!
